V S High School was started in the year 1962in a small village Kedalasara in Sagar Talluk which is famous for Jog Falls and surrounded by green forests of Sahyadri Mountain Range. In those days, High School education was limited to taluk headquarters. As a result of this, most of the children had to stop their education after getting primary education. Some elderly people understood this problem and thought of starting a High School. With the help of the people of this village and nearby villages, they started a High School in 1962. This school provides education from 8th standard to 10th standard and students are coming from remote villages. About 250 students come to study every year. This school has a team of expert and experienced teachers, a good library, a beautiful garden and all the infrastructure facilities. Our school has been getting very good results every year and this year it has recorded 80% of total results. Teachers are giving their best to give qualitative education. School charges very low tuition fee so that even poorer students get qualitative education.
This school has made its mark even in extracurricular activities. In order to create interest in our cultural and epics, our school conducts examination on Ramayana and Mahabharata. It also conducts “putani vijnana” in order to creat interest in science. Our school took prat in in many plays, folk dances, compitations of Pratibha karanji, a programme organized by Education Department for High school students. Our school students have reached Divisional level in throw ball and volley ball games.
